If you are new to SEO, you can’t expect to understand the features in the Webmaster Tool. This tool, somehow requires you to be a little techy, especially when checking site errors such as bad links and duplicate content.

For basics, you can start by first checking your site performance. Just click the site performance review and you’ll see whether your page is slowing down. A low score would indicate that your website has low performance and this is probably why you are not getting traffic at all.

When your website is slowing down, it means you have certain web errors that you don’t see through your eyes alone.

The next think you want to do is check broken links and content duplicate issues. Just head to the HTML Improvements section.
